FRIDAY NIGHTS AT NOMA: OPERA ON TAP! AND "ART YOU CAN EAT" FEATURING CHEF CHIP FLANAGAN OF RALPH'S ON THE PARK!July 12, 2013
Join NOMA in celebrating the world’s fairs through a culinary demonstration by Chef Chip Flanagan inspired by the 1889 Paris world’s fair. Come and celebrate Bastille Day early with a musical performance by Opera on Tap who will be performing French operettas!
- 5-8 p.m.: Art Activity
- 6-8 p.m.: Music by Opera On Tap! (The New Orleans Opera Association)
- 6 p.m.: “Art You Can Eat” with Chef Chip Flanagan of Ralph’s on the Park w/ Special Surprise Guest: “French Culinary Trends and Their Impact on Nouvelle Orleans” (Presentation will be held in Stern Auditorium)
- 7:30 p.m.: Docent-guided tour of works by French artists

New Orleans Opera’s popular “Opera On Tap” series was first the official franchise of an organization based in New York City. There are now chapters in Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Denver, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Atlanta, and Boston. The group performs all over New Orleans from bars to festivals.
About Art You Can Eat
Café NOMA presents “Art You Can Eat”, a 9-week summer series featuring the artful culinary creations of Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group chefs and special guests. Fridays from June 7 – August 2, 2013, at 6 p.m., chefs from Café NOMA, Ralph’s on the Park, Red Fish Grill, café b, and Heritage Grill will lead an interactive, educational, and delicious cooking event celebrating NOMA exhibitions and the culinary arts of New Orleans. Seating is based on a first come, first serve basis.
