JAPAN FEST
Japan meets New Orleans at NOMA’s annual Japan Fest!
Every year visitors to the New Orleans Museum of Art experience Japanese art, culture, food and music. Musical highlights include performances by traditional Japanese drummers Kaminari Taiko, noted jazz singer and performer Shinobu Yamamoto and traditional Japanese music and classical dance by Global Culture Nasu from Japan.
You can also view and purchase calligraphy, origami, and other traditional Japanese arts and crafts; participate in the elegant Japanese tea ceremony; and take guided tours of NOMA’s own collection of Japanese paintings and ceramics.
