MADELEINE ALBRIGHT WITH MAYOR MITCH LANDRIEU

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, one of the most influential women in the history of politics, visited NOMA as part of a nationally traveling exhibition Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection, which highlights over 200 pins from her personal collection.

Albright made pins part of her diplomatic signature. As a political leader, Albright used her pin collection as a means of communication when meeting with foreign leaders. Albright's pins signified hope, emphasized the importance of a negotiation, protested the absence of progress, and demonstrated her pride in America.
