SCULPTURE GARDEN AN OASIS OF ART
Home to more than 60 sculptures from artists from all over the world and set in an enticing environment of meandering footpaths, the five-acre Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden in New Orleans City Park makes for a lovely oasis for summertime strolling.
You can also commune with nature and art every Saturday morning at 8 a.m. with a yoga class (first, second and third Saturdays) or a pilates class (fourth Saturday); cost is $5 for the public, and it’s free for members of New Orleans Museum of Art.
Meanwhile, enjoy this short documentary by Patrick Hall, produced for NOLAVie.com by Laszlo Fulop’s documentary production class at the University of New Orleans.
